Distribution Agreement for Argentina
DC Fine Chemicals has signed a distribution agreement with AppChem for South America in order to expand its business in Latin America, beginning with Argentina. DC Fine Chemicals chose AppChem for their detailed market knowledge in the region and excellent track record of customer service.

Birthday Celebrations
As part of DC Fine Chemicals' 10th anniversary celebrations company employees enjoyed a mixture of chemicals including various carbohydrates, dyes, albumin, mixed amino acids, sodium bicarbonate, phosphate buffers, theobromine, caffeine washed down with a 12% ethanol solution with carbon dioxide and water. In other words, chocolate cake and Champagne.

Quality Control Laboratory
With a view to continuous improvement, DC Fine Chemicals has built a new QC laboratory in its facility near Barcelona, Spain. Instrumentation and equipment installed includes HPLC, IR, UV, melting point, titration and Karl Fischer. Further investment in instrumentation is planned. Miriam Miguel has been employed as a Qualified Person to take responsibility for Quality Control and Quality Assurance at DC Fine Chemicals. “Customers increasingly demand that we ensure product quality. We believe that our in-house testing facility will provide a further check to allow us to demonstrate that our products are of good quality and underpin our high levels of service to give our customers extra confidence.”, said Miriam. The Company intends to test every item it sells to demonstrate its high quality product offering.
New Registrations
DC Fine Chemicals has achieved registration from the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment for the importation of feed raw materials. Additionally, registration has been secured for the repacking and storage of such products by the Catalonian Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fishing and Food. As a result, we are now well placed to assist with customers’ feed additive requirements.
DC Fine Chemicals invests in Quality
Investing in new employees, DC Fine Chemicals has boosted its Quality team welcoming Juli Orihuela. Juli is a shareholder of the company and has now accepted a full time position with responsibility for Quality as well as managing some key accounts. He has wide experience having worked with Merck, Sanofi and most recently as a Sales Manager for Telstar. The company intends further investment in people with additions to the Quality and Administration departments planned.

The new DC Fine Chemicals website has gone live providing users with more detailed information about the company and the products it supplies. The website now provides product specifications, safety data information and products grouped in easy to use categories and an attractive format. Embedded in the website is a powerful search engine allowing the user to access the product database by searching for product name, CAS number or product code. We have introduced new functionality such as access to certificates of analysis and technical information on our increasing range of products. With this new website, we aim to strengthen our company values: excellence, communication and customer satisfaction, by increasing our commitment to facilitate your interaction with us.
DC Fine Chemicals completes relocation to new premises
DC Fine Chemicals is thrilled to announce the commissioning of its new premises in Cornella, Barcelona. This will be the company’s main facility and distribution hub from which products will be sent worldwide. Besides housing extensive warehousing capacity, we now also have two clean rooms for packing and handling various pharmaceuticals and chemicals.
In conjunction with this, we are upgrading our Quality System to bring it into line with the requirements of the pharmaceutical industry. All of this is part of a rolling program of continuous improvements.
The company officially moved to the new facility in late summer 2014. “We are committed to maintaining quality in our products, customer service and support for our rapidly growing global customer base, so the capabilities of our new premises ensures we can guarantee this now and in the future”, said Josep M Cortes, Sales and Operations Director of DC Fine Chemicals. The Company expects that the new site will allow it to extend the range of activities it can offer to customers.
